Charged 2 hours of labor to check out an issue. Ended up not having them fix it, only to later figure out their diagnosis was a complete lie. Was told my shifter cable was completely severed. I was later told on the phone that the technician lied about that fact. Instead, the actual issue is a bushing with an easy $10 fix. This place gave us a $600 estimate for something anyone can fix for 10 bucks and a YouTube video. Owner took no responsibility. Do not go here, you will get scammed.
Cade, we apologize for any misunderstanding. However you were charged 1 hour for inspection and diagnosis. Our technician identified a broken shift cable bushing. Per service information and parts catalogs fixing the shift cable bushing requires complete shift cable replacement. We tried multiple sources to locate a shift cable, and even offered to let you supply your own, which is normally against our policy. We're happy you were able to find a repair to your satisfaction on Youtube, however that is not a repair that we would offer or warranty on your vehicle. Your adversarial calls and threats to take us to small claims court were not appreciated. Thank you for giving us the chance to try to serve you, but we don't think we're a good fit for your needs, we wish you luck in finding a shop that works for you.
